Bookings & consultations
When you book, you agree to attend at the scheduled time. Consultations are conducted via Sehatji's secure video/audio system — no personal phone numbers are exchanged with your doctor. Consultation duration is typically 30–45 minutes (first visit) and 20–30 minutes (follow-up).
Consultations are advisory in nature. Sehatji does not provide emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your local emergency services immediately.
Medicines & delivery
Medicines are dispensed by our partner pharmacy after your consultation. Standard delivery time is 2–4 business days across most of India. Delivery is free of cost. Every parcel includes the doctor's written notes for your reference.

Communication
All communication between you and your doctor happens through Sehatji — including video calls, messages, and follow-up scheduling. This is to protect your privacy and keep your medical record complete.

Fees & refunds
Consultation fees are charged at the time of booking. Medicine costs are separate and billed after your consultation. See our Refund Policy for eligibility and Cancellation Policy for reschedule rules.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate personal information at booking (name, age, address)
- Share honest and complete case history during consultation
- Inform your doctor of any allopathic (modern medicine) prescriptions you are currently on
- Continue any allopathic medication under the care of your registered modern-medicine physician
- Follow the guidance provided with your medicine parcel
- Do not share your Sehatji account or login with others
Prohibited use
You may not:
- Record consultations without the doctor's explicit permission
- Use Sehatji for any illegal activity
- Attempt to contact doctors outside the platform
- Impersonate another person during booking or consultation
- Interfere with the platform's operation or security
Liability
Sehatji provides a platform for teleconsultation and medicine delivery. While we vet our doctors and our partner pharmacy, treatment decisions and outcomes are the responsibility of the consulting doctor. Sehatji's liability is limited to the fees you have paid for the specific consultation in dispute.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of Sehatji after an update means you accept the new terms.

Privacy policy
Your health information is deeply personal. Here is exactly what we collect, why, who sees it, and how we protect it — in line with India's DPDPA 2023.
What we collect
- Identity: full name, age, gender
- Contact: mobile number, email, delivery address
- Health: the case history you share during consultation, and the doctor's notes
- Booking & payment: consultation date/time, mode (video/audio), payment records (Razorpay handles the actual card/UPI details — we never see them)
- Consultation recordings: only if you have explicitly consented, and only stored for the retention period below
- Basic device data: IP address, browser, city — for security & troubleshooting
Why we collect it
- To book, run, and follow up on your consultation
- To dispense and deliver your medicine
- To send confirmations, reminders and delivery updates
- To keep your medical record so a doctor can refer back on follow-ups
- To comply with lawful requests where legally required
Who has access
- Your consulting doctor — sees your name, age, gender, contact, address, case history, and their own notes
- Sehatji administrator (a small internal team) — for support, delivery, and billing operations
- Our partner pharmacy — sees only what is needed to dispense and ship (name, address, phone, the doctor's order)
- Payment gateway (Razorpay) — processes payment; we never receive your card/UPI details
- Video platform (Daily.co) — routes your live video call end-to-end; call content is not stored unless you consent to recording
- Email/SMS provider — delivers your reminders; sees only your name + contact + message
We do not share your data with advertisers, insurance companies, or any third party not listed above.
How long we keep it
- Medical records & consultation notes: 5 years (in line with medical record-keeping norms)
- Booking & payment records: 8 years (as required by tax law)
- Video recordings (if consented): 90 days, then permanently deleted
- Basic account/contact info: until you request deletion
How we protect it
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
- Passwords and tokens are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Our servers use industry-standard encryption at rest
- Access is limited to authorised staff on a need-to-know basis
- Video calls happen in private, token-secured rooms — no shareable public URLs
Your rights under DPDPA 2023
You may, at any time:
- Ask to see what data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention above)
- Withdraw your consent for optional processing (e.g., recordings)
- Raise a grievance if you believe your rights have been breached

Cookies
Sehatji uses only essential cookies (session, security). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Analytics, if enabled in future, will be privacy-friendly (no personal identifiers).
Children
Paediatric consultations must be booked by a parent or legal guardian. We do not create accounts for children under 18.
Changes to this policy
Any change will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app.
Refund policy
We want the experience to be fair. Here's when a refund is due and how it works.
Consultation fee refunds
You are eligible for a full refund of the consultation fee in the following cases:
- The doctor did not join the call within 15 minutes of the scheduled slot
- Technical issues on Sehatji's side prevented the consultation from happening
- You cancelled the booking at least 4 hours before the slot (see Cancellation Policy)
You are eligible for a 50% refund if you cancelled less than 4 hours before but more than 30 minutes before the slot.
The consultation fee is not refundable if:
- The consultation happened as scheduled
- You did not join and did not cancel (no-show)
- You joined late and used less than the scheduled time
Medicine refunds
You are eligible for a full medicine refund or replacement if:
- The parcel arrives damaged or tampered with (report within 48 hours of delivery)
- The medicine received does not match what your doctor ordered (report within 7 days)
- The medicine was not delivered within 10 business days of dispatch
Once a sealed parcel is opened, medicine is non-refundable for hygiene and safety reasons.

Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method. UPI refunds usually clear within 2 business days; card refunds may take 5–7 business days depending on your bank.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Life happens. Here is how to change your slot and what it costs.
Rescheduling
You can reschedule your consultation to a different slot from your dashboard at any time up to 4 hours before the original slot, at no charge. Later reschedules count as a cancellation (see below).
Cancellation windows
- More than 4 hours before slot: free cancellation, full refund
- Between 30 minutes and 4 hours before slot: 50% refund
- Less than 30 minutes before slot, or no-show: no refund
If the doctor cancels
If your doctor cancels your booking, we will offer you a full refund or a re-booking at your preferred slot — your choice.

Medical disclaimer
Please read this carefully before booking. It explains what Sehatji is — and what it is not.
What Sehatji is
Sehatji is a teleconsultation platform for classical homoeopathic care. We connect patients across India with verified BHMS-registered homoeopaths for consultations conducted entirely on our platform. After a consultation, individualised medicine is dispensed by our partner pharmacy and delivered to your address.
What Sehatji is not
- Not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency (chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, suicidal thoughts, etc.), contact your local emergency services or nearest hospital immediately.
- Not a substitute for allopathic care. Modern medicine has its own indispensable role. Do not stop, change, or delay any allopathic prescription based on a Sehatji consultation without speaking to your prescribing physician.
- Not an insurance-eligible prescription service. Homoeopathic consultation notes are not accepted by insurance carriers for reimbursement and cannot be used for medico-legal purposes.
Nature of the medicine notes we provide
Every parcel we ship includes the doctor's written notes with dosage and timing. These notes are:
- Prepared by your consulting doctor for your personal use only
- Meant as guidance on how to take the enclosed medicine
- Not a medico-legally valid prescription — they cannot be presented at other pharmacies to obtain further supply, filed with insurance carriers, or used in legal proceedings
If you need a medico-legally valid prescription (for insurance, employer, court, or other formal use), please consult a registered modern-medicine physician.
Continuing your allopathic care
Homoeopathic remedies do not chemically interact with allopathic medication in the way one allopathic drug does with another. Many of our patients continue their existing prescriptions and taper them gradually — but any such taper must be done under the care of your treating allopathic physician, not by Sehatji.
Results & timelines
Acute complaints often respond within days. Chronic conditions typically show meaningful change within 4–8 weeks. We discuss realistic timelines during your first consultation. Homoeopathic outcomes vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.
